ORIENTATION OF THE STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE HELD ON December 2, 2025
The Faculty members of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee met the first Year (Semester I) Students on December 2 ,2025. Dr. Suparna Ghosh, Ms. Sreeparna Dasgupta and Ms Srijita Chakravarty informed the students about the statutory Committee and the policy and function of the Committee. The students were told what exactly was defined as a grievance by the UGC and what would be a valid grievance and what wouldn’t constitute a grievance. The students were shown the portal through which they could lodge grievances and these grievances could not be anonymous as the student had to put her Name, department and email id in the form. The students were further informed about a grievance box in the college which was on the second floor, however, they were warned that an anonymous grievance would not carry much weight. The students therefore were also told that they should not be fearful of any repercussions and that they should be able to lodge complaints without any fear.
