Roles and Functions of the Cell
The Incubation Cell at Loreto College supports aspiring entrepreneurs by providing a platform for innovation, mentorship, and skill development. It encourages students to transform ideas into viable business ventures by offering resources, networking opportunities, and workshops on entrepreneurship. The cell fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, preparing students for real-world challenges.
Contribution to NAAC Criteria
It contributes to NAAC criteria by enhancing Curricular Aspects with practical entrepreneurial learning, promoting Research, Innovation & Extension through innovative projects, supporting Student Support & Progression by offering career development resources, and aligning with Institutional Values by encouraging sustainability and social responsibility.
About
The Loreto College Incubation Centre (LCIC) aspires to promote a culture of social entrepreneurship and innovation amongst the students of the College. We acknowledge that an institution must be a dynamic entity that readjusts structures and activities in response to the changing needs of society and the world at large. The LCIC hopes to contribute to women's empowerment and environmental sustainability with unswerving commitment and a prioritization of human values.
LCIC is dedicated to raising awareness among young women about alternative career paths, fostering values of commitment and leadership to empower them with entrepreneurial skills. Its goal is to equip students to develop socially impactful and sustainable business models while inspiring them to generate employment opportunities for others. To support students in achieving these objectives, the LCIC collaborates with external experts and partners to offer technical guidance, advisory services, infrastructural support, and basic financial assistance.
