Faculty Exchange Programme 2026

Faculty Exchange Programme 3-6 February 2026

The Department of History, Loreto College, Kolkata conducted a Faculty Exchange Programme with Scottish Church College (MOU college), Kolkata between 3-6 February 2026. Semester 1 students of both colleges participated. Dr Debadyuti Banerjee, HOD, Scottish Church College delivered two lectures on the Sangam Age (Module V) for the Loreto College students on 5th and 6th February, while Dr Sukanya Mitra (Assistant Professor, Department of History) delivered two lectures on Buddhism & Jainism and the Sangam Age (Module V) respectively on 3rd and 5th February for the Scottish Church College students. The students found the classes to be very informative and enjoyable. From the teachers’ point of view, the interaction with the students was extremely fruitful and the department looks forward to doing such exchange programmes again in the future.
