The NSS Unit of Loreto College, along with the Games Society, celebrated National Sports Day 2025 with great enthusiasm on 2nd September 2025. The event was organized for 26 children from Bal Shiksha Sadan, who ranged from pre-primary to class 5. At 8:30 AM, NSS volunteers warmly welcomed the children and escorted them to the College. They gathered in the Concert Hall.
The program started at 9:00 AM with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of sports in a child’s overall growth. Sports foster teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being. The children eagerly took part in 12 exciting games, including the Lemon and Spoon Race, Burst the Balloon, Flat Race, Partner Race, Relay, “Finish the Biscuit,” and more. Each event was carefully planned and carried out by the Games Society and its dedicated volunteers.
Winners received prizes, and their joyful smiles brightened the entire hall. A special walking race for the teachers added extra cheer to the event. The program wrapped up at 11:00 AM with a vote of thanks, followed by refreshments.
Such initiatives not only promote physical fitness but also build confidence, inclusivity, and community spirit, which are key pillars of a caring society.
