Loreto College, Kolkata, organised a Mental Wellbeing Programme for support staff on 29 January 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The programme was conducted with the objective of enhancing awareness about mental wellbeing and providing emotional support to non-teaching staff members.
The session was facilitated by Ms Maupali Ghosh, Clinical Psychologist and Counsellor at Loreto College. The programme began with an interactive discussion in which participants shared workplace challenges such as work allocation, recess-related concerns, and issues related to group coordination and unity. This open dialogue helped create a supportive environment and encouraged mutual understanding among the staff members.
Following the discussion, the resource person guided the participants on developing empathy, cooperation, and positive interpersonal relationships at the workplace. Practical strategies were shared to help manage stress and maintain emotional balance.
The session concluded with simple breathing and relaxation exercises aimed at promoting mental calmness and overall wellbeing. The programme was well received by the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative and the resource person. The session ended on a positive and encouraging note, reinforcing the importance of mental health awareness in the workplace.
