Call for Papers & Call for Posters organised by Dept. of Human Rights & Dept. of Sociology

Name of the winners:

1. Antara Bhadra, Oishi Das and Soumili Basu (Economics Honours, 2nd year)

2. Vinita Ghosh (Psychology Honours, 2nd year)

3. Pragya Saha (Psychology Honours, 2nd year) and Manushi Thakur (Psychology Honours, 1st year)

 

Students from all the years were invited to design posters highlighting Coronavirus (Covid-19) and its impact on society. Prospective contributors were asked to submit posters either in pencil shading format; pastel shade format; or water colour format. Students were encouraged to send entries on the following themes:


Rising incidence of violence against women and children at home;

Cyber-crimes against young boys and girls;

Salutation to Covid-19 Frontline Warriors (doctors, nurses, police, teachers, and other volunteers)


The co-organizers received a total of 17 posters and a team of judges from the college announced the following as winners:

3. Unnatri Dutta (Political Science Honours, 1st year)
