Winter Wonderlane organised by the Loreto College Incubation Centre
Winter Wonderlane – Where Nostalgia Meets New Beginnings, an Entrepreneurs’ Fair organised by the Loreto College Incubation Centre (LCIC), was successfully held on December 20, 2025. The event was envisioned as a platform to blend the warmth and familiarity of a festive winter fair with the forward-looking aspirations of young entrepreneurs stepping into the world of enterprise.
All along with established entrepreneurs the fair featured over 70 stalls, with nearly 75 per cent managed by student entrepreneurs representing more than 14 colleges across the city. This strong inter-collegiate participation reinforced Winter Wonderlane’s role as a city-level initiative fostering collaboration, peer learning, and entrepreneurial exchange.
Winter Wonderlane witnessed robust footfall and sustained engagement throughout the day. The strategic locational advantage of the College campus, situated in the heart of the city, ensured easy accessibility for students, families, and the general public, significantly contributing to the event’s success. The vibrant turnout enabled student entrepreneurs to engage directly with customers, gain market feedback, and experience real-time business dynamics.
The event was supported by a strong team of partners. The National Restaurant Association of India – Kolkata Chapter joined as the Ecosystem Partner, strengthening industry connect. Winter Wonderlane was proudly supported by OG Brews and Bakes as the Title Sponsor. The popular food zone featured several well-known and emerging brands, including B-Pop Gourmet Popcorn, WOW! Momo, The Roll Factory by Sanjha Chulha, and Mission Cafe, adding to the festive atmosphere and visitor appeal. Ecofunomics participated as the Skill Development Partner, engaging students on contemporary skill development aligned with entrepreneurial needs.
By combining a nostalgic winter fair experience with contemporary entrepreneurial aspirations, Winter Wonderlane successfully established strong industry–academia linkages. The initiative aligns closely with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) by emphasising experiential learning, skill development, and entrepreneurship, while also contributing to the broader vision of Viksit Bharat through youth-led innovation and enterprise.
Overall, Winter Wonderlane stood as a successful demonstration of how campuses can serve as dynamic spaces where tradition, creativity, and innovation come together.
