PFA: Students' Week Report

The Literary Society of Loreto College, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Dramatics Society, Loreto College, organized 'From Page to Screen', as part of Students’ Week, on January 6, 2026. Ms. Prerona Biswas and Ms. Somali Mukherjee, faculty of the English and Psychology departments respectively, were the esteemed judges for the event.

The competition consisted of four teams, with each having one actor and one scriptwriter. Each team had been asked to decide upon any literary character of their choice beforehand, and was assigned a random hypothetical situation on the day of the event. Based on the situation assigned, each writer was given 20 minutes to prepare a script, which was then enacted by the respective actor. Following the initial round, Shreya Sinha (3rd Year, Department of English) and Sriparna Das (3rd Year, Department of English) took part in an additional extempore round to settle a tie. Sriparna Das emerged as the winner.
