Recruitment Rendezvous 2026 by Loreto College

Recruitment Rendezvous 2026, the Job Fair hosted by the Placement Cell and supported by the Career Counselling Cell and Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Loreto College in collaboration with the Bharat Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by the State Bank of India (SBI) and partnered by Ei Samay and 91.9 Friends FM, was held on 18th February 2026. The event embodied the college’s vision of empowering women through education and industry engagement, offering students a platform to connect with reputed organizations and explore diverse career opportunities.

The program began with the Lighting of the Lamp, Prayer, and Welcome Address by Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, Teacher-in-Charge. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Vandana Yadav, IAS, Principal Secretary for the Industries, Commerce and Enterprises Department, Government of West Bengal appreciated the role of Loreto College in empowering women and providing them industry exposure and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Naresh Pachisia, President, Bharat Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of the Job Fair for bridging academics with industry. The presence of the Guest of Eminence, Shri Rajesh Kumar, General Manager, State Bank of India further enriched the occasion.

A highlight of the event was the Panel Discussion titled “The New Professional Currency: Leveraging Your Academic Journey into a Powerful Brand”, moderated by Mr. Pradip Gooptu. Panelists including Ms. Debasree Roy Sarkar, Ms. Deblina Sen, Ms. Shormi Roy Choudhury, and Mr. Shiladitya Chowdhury discussed the evolving role of AI in resumes, resilience in facing rejections, and the changing skill demands in manufacturing and hospitality. They stressed that while technology is vital, human knowledge, adaptability, and values remain central to success.

 The Job Fair brought together 30 organizations across diverse sectors, offering students from 70 colleges in Kolkata valuable exposure to career opportunities. In finance and banking, companies like Canara Bank, Standard Chartered, State Bank of India, National Insurance Company Ltd., and Integrated Enterprises India Pvt. Ltd. participated. The healthcare and wellness sector included HCG Cancer Center, India Autism Center, Marga Wellness Studio, Crystal Minds and Dr. Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Clinic. The education and training sector featured Edunet Foundation, George College Group, McGraw Hill Education, National Education Board for Vocational Training, Teach for India, Uddami India Foundation, and Being Iban Academy. Students also engaged with corporate and consulting firms such as AK Deb and Associates, Dasgupta and Co. Pvt. Ltd., Alteus Biogenics, Saggitarius Communications, and SDP Associates. In technology and telecom, Reliance Jio and LTS Mindtree offered insights, while media and communication was represented by Ei Samay and Young Minds Collective. Other sectors included real estate (Merlin Group) and hospitality and lifestyle (Peerless Hotels Ltd., Cloud Beverages, Vedanzzz Event and Decor, and SWIS Foundation). Students interacted directly with company representatives, discussing career perspectives and job opportunities, making the fair a dynamic bridge between academia and industry.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contributions of sponsors, partners, and participating organizations. Recruitment Rendezvous 2026 successfully bridged academics with industry, reinforcing Loreto College’s mission of forming empowered women ready to meet the challenges of a dynamic professional world.
