Workshop on Social Media Techniques

The Social Media Committee of Loreto College organized an engaging and informative online workshop on Social Media Techniques on June 20, 2025. The session aimed to enhance the digital competencies of social media representatives from all the college societies by focusing on key areas such as content creation, digital design principles, content engagement strategies, and performance analysis. Ms. Durba Manigram, an experienced communication professional with over eight years of expertise in advertising, strategic campaigns, brand management, and media planning, conducted the workshop.

Ms. Manigram provided an insightful and practical overview of social media strategies, guiding the social media representatives through essential practices in managing digital platforms effectively. Using an illustrative presentation, she covered topics such as:

  • Creating eye-catching and platform-specific content
  • Maximising engagement and audience reach
  • Strategic content scheduling aligned with platform algorithms
  • Useful tools and resources for content design and planning
  • Curating aesthetically appealing and cohesive social media feeds


The resource person used the social media pages of different societies to explain the strategies for better engagement with the followers of these pages and the ways to increase followers and viewership. The workshop was a valuable experience for all the participants and is expected to significantly enhance the quality and impact of the college's social media presence.
