Signing of MoU between Loreto College and Teach For India

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Loreto College, Kolkata and Teach For India, a reputed organisation dedicated to social work and community engagement, on February 11, 2025. This partnership marks a significant step towards fostering mutual collaboration aimed at driving impactful community service initiatives, enhancing student engagement, and promoting social responsibility.

The primary objective of this MoU is to establish a formal partnership between Loreto College and Teach For India to collaborate on projects that contribute to community development, social awareness, and student volunteerism. This agreement is intended to:

  • Provide students with opportunities for experiential learning through community service
  • Develop and implement joint programmes focused on social welfare and community upliftment
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions to promote civic responsibility and leadership
  • Support research and initiatives related to social issues and community development
  • Provide placement opportunities to students interested in the social sector
